Urban Piano Quartet

Urban Piano Quartet brings a modern, fresh and dynamic touch to classical works whilst also familiarising audiences with more contemporary sounds.

Founded in 2018 in Brussels, and after only a few months of existence, the Urban Piano Quartet won the 2019 Supernova Chamber Music Competition.

The members of Urban Piano Quartet are greatly respected chamber musicians. They gave concerts in leading European concert halls such as Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Flagey, BOZAR, Casa da Musica Porto as well as the National Philharmonies of Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine just to mention a few and they were invited to perform in prestigious festivals such as Klarafestival, Festival de Musiq’3 (BE), Pablo Casals (FR), Harmos (POR) and Thy Chamber Music Festival (DK).

They have been invited to the radios Klara and Musiq’3 and will soon publish their first CD featuring works by Johannes Brahms and Pēteris Vasks.

The ‘Urbans’ hold degrees of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse of Paris, the Hannover and Cologne Hochschule für Musik, the Royal Academy of Music London, the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth as well as the Royal Conservatories of Brussels, Antwerp and Mons.
